The A in April is for Awesome

Hey Kids!

We sure hope the spring is back in your step! It is for us – especially after a wonderful weekend playing shows in Boston in Burlington!

P.A.’s Lounge was a fun-and friend-filled evening with The Icicles, Casper and the Cookies, and Shumai (who announced that they were playing their last show together – we can only hope that they do indeed play again sometime) and we also spotted rockers from the Lil’ Hospital,
Spoilsport, and the Besties in the house! A fun time was had by all.

On Saturday we had our Parima debut here in Burlington – for those of you who don’t know, Parima is a local Thai restaurant that also hosts shows – and it was a smashing success – Smittens and Icicles were seated at a banquet table and fed fabulous vegetarian and vegan treats until we’d had our fill before the show and then we both rocked the house! We were lucky to have Jolene join us on keys for a fun rendition of “capucine” and we had Greg Icicle give us his best pinch-hitter vocal on “Gin and Platonic!” (see the video below, the sound isn’t the greatest) Somehow by the end of the show Dana was down on her knees crooning “I Hate Vermont” during our impromptu encore and then it was time to head home and tuck in for a well-deserved
rest.

We will definitely be playing at Parima again – and we may have a show sometime soon at the Monkey House in Winooski, too – we’ll keep you posted! Our album has been coming together just swimmingly and we are so excited to share it with you when it’s finally al ready – David’s
planning some fantastic cover art and we’re starting to wrap our noggins around the idea of making another video, too!

Our next big plan is the NYC Popfest which takes place over the Memorial day weekend! Here’s the line-up tat was announced a little while ago and a link if you wanna order tickets or get more details! (we’re playing on Friday night at the Delancey)
